A light breeze blew into the room, making the curtains flutter. The wind had carried the red, brown, and yellow leaves into the room along with it. The leaves landed lightly onto the dark umber colored hardwood floor.
The room... had clean white walls, but somehow grey and dark. due to shadows, it was a sad place to be. The dying leaves had come blowing into the room, as if trying to make the room just a tiny bit brighter, with their last bit of color.
A whisper came from a dark corner of the room. It whimpered. Nobody could see her, everyone was gone. As another yellow colored leaf came fluttering down from the outside tree, another sound came from the same dark corner. This time, the whimper was followed with a, “splat”.
A drop of blood dripped onto the bright yellow leaf, the liquid spreading quickly, until the whole half of the leaf was covered... in a red, making the leaf a shade of orange.
It was a beautiful color, yet, it was a sad one. A sniffle was heard. In the dark corner, was a girl with beautiful black hair covering her face, ripped jeans, and a t-shirt. She sniffled, yet again. Blood dripping from her left wrist, dying the brown floor red.
The girl was snuggled into the corner, her knees up to her chest. Her arms comfortably hugging her two legs. Her bleeding wrist had transformed her already dark jeans, into a shiny pitch black.
She wasn't making much noise. From her right hand, we saw a glint of metal, she clasped it tightly... as if to say, that that piece of metal was her only treasure.
Looking around the room, there is nothing, absolutely nothing. There is a creaking from the next room. The girl didn't hear anything, she was half dead. Her arms dropped limply to the ground, the piece of sharp metal clanking as it fell from the now lifeless right hand.
Her body tilted to one side, sliding across the wall, falling toward the floor. Her body stopped, 5 inches before hitting the ground.
The hand of an older man held her firmly. The man paused for a few seconds, then lightly scooping the girl up in his arms, left the room, leaving the door swinging open. A brown leaf fluttered down onto the blood stained floor, making a slight sound, “Wshhhhh........” As if sighing in relief.
The girl was gone.
